Over $175 Billion for Pennsylvania's Public Schools
Maureen pushed Pennsylvania to invest nearly $150 billion in K-12 public education throughout the state, ensuring every child has access to a quality education regardless of their zip code or family income.
Tax Rebates for 500,000 Pennsylvanians
As prime co-sponsor of landmark property tax rebate legislation, Maureen put money back in the pockets of half a million Pennsylvania homeowners and renters, which included thousands in Monroe County.
Nearly $5 Million for Local Drinking Water
Clean and safe drinking water is a right, not a privilege. She delivered nearly $5 million in funding to improve water infrastructure, protecting local drinking water for Monroe County families for generations to come.
Millions Invested in our Community Arts, History, and Recreation Facilities
Maureen secured close to $1 million for the Pocono Center for the Arts and the TLC outdoor facilities (which includes a gym, playground, and splash pad), brought over $4.5 million to help fund the new YMCA facility, $1.5 million for the Heritage Center, and tens of millions brought to the district for these efforts throughout her time in Harrisburg
Leading the Fight for Seniors
As Chairwoman of the House Aging & Older Adult Services Committee, Maureen champions increased Medicaid funding, higher standards for elder care & their facilities, and greater support for those who are family caregivers. Governor Josh Shapiro even appointed Maureen to his Advisory Committee on Alzheimer's and Dementia.

Rated "A" by Conservation Voters of Pennsylvania and the John Riley Friend of the Watershed Award Winner by the Brodhead Watershed Association, her environmental record is one of the strongest throughout Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania's First Alzheimer's & Dementia Division
She was the leading House sponsor of the legislation establishing Pennsylvania's first-ever Alzheimer's, Dementia and Related Disorders Division within the Department of Aging. This created permanent state infrastructure to coordinate care, support caregivers, and address the needs of over 282,000 older Pennsylvanians. This legislation passed with bipartisan support in both chambers.

A prime co-sponsor of HB 1100, this was the largest targeted tax cut for Pennsylvania seniors in nearly two decades. The bill expanded the Property Tax/Rent Rebate Program to nearly 175,000 Pennsylvanians, raising the rebate from $650 to $1,000, increased the income cap to $45,000, and tied future limits to the cost of living so seniors can remain within the program.

Co-sponsor of HB 157, which established the PA Preferred Organic Program and created the official state trademark logo to help consumers identify locally grown organics. The bill supports the State's billion dollar organic agriculture industry, which helps farmers increase their income, and helps build on an an industry which has seen operations triple over the last decade.

Author of legislation expanding the Non-Narcotic Medication Assisted Substance Abuse Treatment Grant Program to include all FDA-approved medications (not just naltrexone) for opioid use disorder in Pennsylvania's county jails. As 77% of inmates who receive such treatments maintain sobriety after release, this bipartisan law allows county jails to provide evidence-based treatment to each individual and reduce recidivism.
